One of the most common problems with furnace fans is a bad blower relay. Connect the black lead to a ground and then to the blower motor assembly. I don t think it is the fuse. I went ahead and replaced the blower motor resistor and cabin air filter but it is still completely dead.

You should be able to find this relay or sequencer by tracing the blower motor wires back to the relay or sequencer. This is another common reason behind faulty. Power supplied from the fuse panel. If you start at the blower motor and check resistance in the circuit you will find the problem in no time.

If there is a battery check if it is working properly. It doesn t work on any speed. If you are getting 24 volts between g and c then you probably have a fan relay problem or sequencer problem. Blower stopped working last thursday it came back on friday after i wiggled the blower motor resistor went back out saturday.

Connect the red lead to a power source and then to the leads on the motor side of the disconnected connector. If both the compressor and the fan motor won t run use a multimeter to test the temperature control thermostat for continuity. If the compressor is running but the fan motor is not running the fan motor or the fan motor capacitor are likely at fault. Some control the blower fan with a relay.

The blower motor is crucial to the proper function and operation of your hvac system. If the motor turns the connector is bad. If the thermostat does not have continuity replace it. Many hvac related calls are due to the blower motor not working.

The most common symptom of a faulty blower motor resistor is a blower fan that only works on one speed usually high. If the motor still does not turn the motor is bad.
